    Kev,

Couple of anorakky spots for you here:
Re. the photo you published of the Panzer trooper wearing the pith helmet, his helmet is a captured South African one with DAK shield added to the LHS. SA ones had a much smaller profile than the issued German one.
Also re. the Panzer Assault badge, this came in 2 different versions - silver for Panzer troops & bronze for mechanised infantry (Panzergrenadiers). Crteria for award of both was the same, taking part in 3 separate tank assaults on 3 different days.
Also, the picture of the Fallschirmjager NCO you published is excellent - with his array of decorations he would make a brilliant bust! Especially with the Luftwaffe Ground Combat Badge & Hitler Youth Sport Leader badges.

    HTH,
    Chris.

    Hi Chris

Thanks for the information , always welcome details agree about the Fallschirmjager ....sure there is something that could be used.......and 2 cuff bands as well!! I like adding badges it's a challenge !! ( my Luftwaffe in formal Evening dress has the Riding qualification on him ......in V Bench atm!! )

Need to check the uniform type he has on !

    Appreciate your input mate

    Kev,

Another quick one for you - if you're going to add the Afrikakorps cuff title to him, you're going to have to graft a right arm onto the bust...…..
Afrikakorps titles were worn on the lower right sleeve (see your pic of the German lady wearing the tropical uniform, & also the one of the soldier wearing palm tree & wreath badge on his upper right sleeve). Only the Afrika with palms title was worn on the left sleeve, & I don't think this was instituted as a commemorative award until after the North African campaign had ended.
Just a thought - hope it helps.
