    Kev this looks great, the whites are perfect, love 'em.
    2 small points, there is no black outline on the dicing at all, and the green squares look black from any distance away,
    so on the model it is REALLY dark green.
    Looking forward to the final finish with these guys mate.

    Hi Paul

    Thanks for comments , I will try and take the lines back but they are quite heavy , the green is lighter for effect but will also look at it again.

    Nothing detrimental to Paul B but the sculpt originally is a little bit like a badgers armpit ..rough n places so I am making a silk purse out of a sows ear !

    Appreciate your thoughts ..hope to have this finshed soon !

    Started on the other conversion whilst eating Jimbo's biccies and a fine lunch of cheese and ham ( did it a bit different as we normally have ham and cheese ...lol )

    Update time with free iffy iPad pics !


    Bugle all painted and pinned in place

    Sword hilt painted

    To do ..scabbard frog and fit sword

    Back of bust to be blacked out

    Nameplate on ....that's it!


    The other one has had the uniform and facings all painted ...that's next on the bench

    Certainly not your standard but I am/ have enjoyed them in a sadistic sort of way ...lol......

    ....as I said before the casting needed a lot of work , for me I wanted to make something different ...

    But think I might stay away from beards for a while ..lol

    iPad piccy update

    Sword pinned and mounted with magisculpt where the belting meets , also on underside ...

    Seems a lot going on so not your normal bust ! , would have liked to put the sword back a little more but nothing to put it to !

    Going to let this totally dry and then repaint the belt and frog and possibly the handgrip , then a confirmation all over, black out the rear of the bust ...nameplate on

    Finito !

    Couple of iPad specials of the 2nd bust ...face and beard all fnished went for an old soldier look , graying hair all over ..might slightly highlight the beard a touch more
