    Hello Folks,
    another project on my bench.
In this case i jave ordered this figure from Metal Modeles and planning to convert to a Horse Grenadier in the 1812 uniform, i have used a different head from my spare parts box, i believe it is from an unused grenadier Tambour from the same manufacturer.
A little bit of background :
The original regiment was founded by Argentine national hero José de San Martín in 1812. Its first military action was the Battle of San Lorenzo (1813). The regiment also played a key role as part of the Army of the Andes (Ejército de los Andes) in the battles of Chacabuco (1817) and Maipú (1818) in Chile. Traveling to Perú, Ecuador, and Bolivia, the Grenadiers took part in the Battles of Riobamba, Pichincha (1822) and Ayacucho (1824), and in the Cisplatine War. The size of the regiment fell to 120 men and it was disbanded in 1827
This renown regiment currently serves as Presidential escort and guards the Government House ( Pink House) . 6535_15795-2.jpg 20180924_211328.jpg 20180924_211524.jpg

Last night i realize the hea di've used was not from metal Modeles, it was from another napoleonic and was quite big, so, i went trough my spare figures and foumd the Metal Modeles head i was looking for and it is a better fit. View attachment 323296 received_2230946033616421.jpeg

Coat finished, mainly used scale 75 abyssal blue with a dab of black as a base,
added citadel fenris grey for lights and more black for shadows.
I have painted the troussers with dark blue scale 75, slightly different from the coat since they wore a different materiel. 20180929_171054.jpg 20180929_171106.jpg 20180929_171120.jpg

Well....i had to modify the cords on the headgear, a good friend who has a Historical Reenactor group of Granaderos a caballo sent me some info, the color plate i have posted before has green cords, but in 1812 were yellow, then it changed to sky blue in 1818, so, idecided to do it in sky blue.
He corrected me on the colors of the cockade, back then was all white with the center only in sky blue.
