WIP for a vignette featuring two out-of-luck G.I.s. There will be a pair of Brits on a nearby dock laughing at them. Trying for a Bill Mauldin by way of Shep Paine vibe.

I picked this old Tamiya kit at a flea market stall a few weeks back. I haven't painted any armour/vehicles in years. Need to dig out the old airbrush(y)

Brilliant, Matt - the expressions on the two GIs’ faces are classic. Hornet heads?
    And the name “Leaky”.....very apt!

Brilliant. I've got this kit in my stash along with all of the aftermarket stuff, thank you for the inspiration

Yes, heads from Hornet, bodies are from the kit. Clunky, but they get the job done.

A little progress; resin will take about four or five more days of pouring layers to wrap up. The fuzz will become the exhaust of the GPA, and I will add propellor foam when I get to that layer. I have a couple of jokers ready to laugh at the GPA’s predicament. They will be on the wedge of the dock on the right.

A little progress. I just pulled the dams off; lots of polishing ahead of me before I can work on the surface textures!

Love it, not a cheap Dio when the resin costs more than the kit and figures

Having fun posing figures while I’m waiting for my polishing sandpaper to arrive.

How did you do the water pouring out of the bucket?
  19. MattMcK. PlanetFigure Supporter

It’s a bent piece of clear sprue with Woodland Scenics water effects on it, but any caulk or acrylic paste would do it I think. It’s not fixed yet, just sitting in place. I may shorten it to hang above the surface of the water.
