I was very pleased to get this as a present from an old mate recently and I hope that I have done it justice. I have blatently copied another members post (sorry, I cannot remember that members name. I have made searches to find the post unsuccessfully) who ingeniously used an old german style pipe as a base. I was so impressed with this approach that I have done my own version. I hope that person doesnt mind me stealing his idea. I just couldnt resist it.
The Gnome is painted in oils over acrylics which is my usual method. Please feel free to comment, especially the person I have mentioned earlier.

Lol wow what a great idea to use a pipe as part of the base and the paint job is good also. Who makes this little guy? Also what acrylic paint did you use as the bace for the skin?

Thanks Nap. Emphasis on the "old" ha ha!! I have put a couple of close ups on for you.
Thanks Brian. The bust is made by War Griffon and the acrylics I use are Games Workshop and Revill Aqua Colour.
Thanks Ulrich, and thank you too Hendryk. I hope you dont mind me pinching your idea.

Nice work Jazz, I hadn't seen Hendryk' version but will be off to have a look momentarily. A very novel way of mounting him indeed :D

Brian, He is one of the range from War Griffon Miniatures and can be found on the MDP website.

    War Griffon,
Many thanks for taking the time to comment. It was a joy to paint this lovely little bust which has such detail and I feel honoured that the man responsible has recognised my work. Thank you.
