Hey Guys!

Here is the Viking head more or less finished.
I kind of feel the hair lacks the zap or 'glow' that I want,
so I might go back and add some more highlights, what you guys think?

Well Mr Viking that one looks wild super. i like the crazyness in his eyes and the metal look of the helmet Flesh mix superb as always and beard do look super nice
i agree on hair , u can do that "touch" to make it even better .

Really nicely done. I think the blonde hair looks good. There is quite a contrast between the hair and beard. Was that intentional? Will you go back and add highs to the beard?

Yes, I did do that intentionally, however I will repaint the beard as it dont look too hot. It looks better in person as the pics kind of wash the effect out, but it still needs someting done to it to add a little zap to it.

I saw this in the round last night. It is excellent. Anders has developed a real knack for painting expressive eyes.

I read an intriguing suggestion somewhere...

Add a very tiny amount of irridescent white to your final hair highlight mix. Helps the hair to "pop out". I have not tried this yet but plan to as most of my ( :lol: ) hair is dull...

This bust is the best I have never seen. Eyes and flesh are perfect, the helmet too.
Some day I will paint so, because I am learnig a lot with you. thank you

Thanks for all the nice comments, I am very flattered.

I have now repainted the beard to about the same as the blonde, and it does look a lot better. Will show more pics soon!
