Hi everyone,
I started this beautiful figure from pegaso models. I lost motivation on my 90mm crusader because the kit itself was not the best, so i decided to tackle this one wich is great fun to paint! All in acrylics. Pictures are not the best, as usual

When it was released years ago my first thoughts were: i got to have it and i will leave the wings off
Its definitly worth to get this figure again.

Thanks a lot. Yes, you are right, belts etc. are not the most funny part to paint on a figure, but i am quite happy with these ones.

slowly getting forward with the viking. I am struggling a bit if the colours i have chosen for the shirt and the trousers match together. All comments are welcome.

Great work. I too think it was right to leave the wings off.
Without in any way being disparaging about the paint work , which I could never hope to match, I would repeat here, purely for info what I said on a separate thread about the painting of jacks and gambesons.
I quote

I seem to remember a fellow member, who if memory serves me correctly was also a re-enactor pointed out that contrary to what you might expect the seams on a jack remain clean while the actual padded pockets get dirty. I suppose when you think about it it is the actual padded pockets that rub against equipment, armour etc and take general wear and tear, while the seams remain protected. The attached photos give a good idea of this effect. When I read those earlier comments I had to admit to myself that I had been painting jacks incorrectly and had to change my approach on subsequent models. I shall certainly bear this in mind as I paint my War of the Roses man at arms (see separate WIP).
Please….this is not meant as any criticism of the way Sven paints but just goes to highlight (I know…dreadful pun!) a common misconception.”

I hope you found my comments useful. When I saw the original article I realised that I’ve not been painting jacks etc correctly and I’m having to revise what I doing on my WOR mans at arms currently on my bench. It’s really counterintuitive !

little update on the viking, the cape is finished so far, i will do a little weathering on it when i do the groundwork. Had some trouble when i glued it on but all in all its okay now. All comments are welcome.
