A trumpeter from the English Civil War , in this case wearing the orange-tawny livery of the Earl of Essex, the Lord General of the Parliament’s Army.
The livery is modelled on those in a couple of paintings, and the saddle, harnessing and trumpet are based on original items .
Being an “ action “ figure, he can be posed in various ways, and everything comes off and on as near to the real thing as possible .
The horse is a resin one made by Luis Aguilar , in Mexico, slightly modified by me ; everything else is homemade .
