I used a different flesh mix for this bust.A mix that's as old as me!!!! Burnt Sienna,Yellow Ochre and Titanium White and greyed down with Cobalt Blue.As I never work to a set formula I added more Burnt Sienna straight onto the face ,when I realised the basic mix was a bit too ochery.The above mix is a classic basic mix,but I added quite a few other colours along the way,but I don't really pre plan the colours I'm going to use.I remember using Burnt umber,Brown Madder and Mars Orange,most of them used wet on dry.
To sum up, I basically muck about until I see the face I like, and enhance the contrasts wet on dry.I'm never really totally finished with a face, until I've finished the whole figure,as I can always find a bit more enhancing to do.
