Here's my version of Manfred von Richthofen, a.k.a. the Red Baron, from Alexandros Models. This was a fun project, especially the leather coat. Painted with acrylics. Thanks for looking!

This is a beautiful piece, Jason. As others have said above, your rendition of the leatherwork is outstanding, but one feature I find very attractive about this bust is the way you've shaded & highlighted the field-grey uniform & cap; the plastron of his tunic is particularly subtle & really pops the colours out.

Absolutely excellent painting all over but the leather is my favorite, it looks like real leather and if you touched it it would be soft and not painted Resin or Metal.

My wife just saw the bust and says you have tremendous talent (as opposed to her struggling husband LOL) and wants to know how you paint so realistically. She says the face is a photograph and the coat is so real she could put it on!
