    Hi guys  !
Here's my latest sculpt from the workbench. It depicts a senior NCO from the 1st Plastoon(scout) Regt.,Bermont-Avalov's Detachment during the Russian Civil War,circa 1919. This particular unit comprised of former Russian Guardsman captured by the Germans in the early months of World War 1. Such units wore German uniforms with Russian equipment and rank distinctions. My figure is entertaining himself (and maybe a few "guests") with a "liberated" mandolin, whilst airing his feet ! The head is from Hornet, the hands from Verlinden, the feet and mandolin from Historex spares. The basic torso and pelvis is from a Dragon half- figure of Michael Wittman that a good friend was kind enough to let me have. As always, thanks for looking and I hope to post more updates soon. Cheers !
    Kenneth :) .

kenneth, Initially I thought the rest of the figure was built up too big for the head, but not so much, though smaller would have looked a little better. What I am most impressed with is that this has got to be the most clean and crisp piece of sculpting you've done to date. The clothing on your older work looked as if the clothing was applied in clumps, not here. If you keep mindful of the figure's proportions your work will continue to improve with each piece.~Gary

Kenneth - Excellent job on an entertaining and very different subject! Are you going to do more figures from the Russian Civil war period? I'm somewhat interested in doing a figure or two from the period also!

    All the best,
    Dan

    Hello Kenneth,

IMHO you went a little overboard with the moustache . Otherwise, you have successfully captured the exhuberance of the subject. (y)

    Congrats!
