Your dio looks great Bob (y) I'll bet you had this scene in your head way before you started "pushing putty".

Gotta love those early war French uniforms.

    Whats your next project(s)?

Jason, I actually wanted to do a De Neuville painting called Defense of Longbayou Gate but an Italian (Francesco Terlizzi) did such a great job of it I looked for something else. I had the Taxi idea about a year ago and had discussed it at SCAHMS with Barry King. Barrry said I should do it as he had seen one of the actual Taxis in Paris. Strangely enough Barrry found an old Historex model in 1/32 scale of a Renault Taxi circa 1910 on E-Bay. Am extremely rare kit that cost plenty. Mine was a little cheaper ;)

I love all French uniforms from the Second Empire through WW1, particularly the first few months of the war. The French are so wacky.

I am not sure about my next project at this point. What I would really like to do is the Barrows Gang (a la Bonnie and Clyde) standing around a 1920's car in a gun fight. All those Browning Automatic rifles, Thompson submachine guns, shotguns, 45s, etc. Plus I like non-military themes lately. I got this thing for vintage cars and it fits perfectly for so many vignette ideas. Plus they are fun to build.

    Hey Bob,
The Bonnie & Clyde theme sounds neat and like you said, alot of weapons too. Keep us posted if this develops

    Bob,

Sounds like a winner. You're in the right area for research. I believe they robbed the Maypearl, Texas bank, south of Dallas, and west of Waxahachie. Don't know if there was any gunplay, but it would be fun to find out.

    Hey Bob!

The Bonnie and Clyde diorama would be really neat. There are some movies out there about them that might aid with additional inspiration.

Thanks for the run down of how you attached everything, it would make me most nervous to move it though!!

Did you know Bonnie was only 4' 11"s tall? Actually, the whole ganster era of the twenties and thirties is really fascinating to me ever since I was a kid. It is the wild west with modern settings. Doug Cohen has done some really nice western scenes and I bet something similar could be done from later periods. The introduction of cars adds another exciting prospect.

Especially if you get to put bullet holes in them
