    Hi all!

About to start this Kit from Stormtroopers it's

"120/12 SS Panzergrenadier, Eastern Front, Winter 41/42"

Preparation was a doddle and the only additional work will be a touch of MS round the top of the belt and a sling for the Kar 98K....

    Wow, Mark:

What a great piece of sculpting to start off with. I will be very eager to
follow your progress on this one. And I hope you will do as in the past, where
you post lots of WIP / SBS pictures of how you work on this little beauty.

What is the old saying about bated breath? I guess ahma' too old to remember
it. . . Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa :(:( Plus I don't know how to spell bated, baited,
    oh my. . . . ;););)

Wow what an excellent bit of mould making, I wouldn't know where to begin! So many undercuts! Mark, how many pieces went to make up what we see here? (2?) Parts of the shawl (zeltbahn?) look incredibly fragile.

Would love to meet the guy who does the mould making for Stormtroopers! I'm assuming the sculptor is Stuart Hale? (I'd look it up, but the website has been done for what seems like an eternity!)

    Cheers,
    Jon.

    Hi! Mark.
This is a wonderful figure, isn't it?
I'm a fan of STORMTROOPER, too.
I'm pleasant for how you paint this.
    Good Luck!

Stefano ... many thanks and yes it will be fun :)

Jaybird ..... Not as many SBS pics this time, but plenty of in progress shots :)

Jon ... Yes this is one of Stuarts and this is 4 components. 2 boots lower body and upper body. The casting plugs were large but well away from the detail. :)

Jamie! ... good to hear from you :)

Mitsutaka ..... they are nice figures and thank you :)

    Face it!........

managed to get the face pretty much sorted. Usual mix for this but really pushed the blues and reds on it and tried to keep the contrast high. I think it looks better in real life but .............

    Hi Mark,

Lookin good and am watchin with interest. It's great to see my figures come to life so to speak.

The castin plug on the upper body is left on and kept large with this piece so you can hold this instead of the piece itself and so avoid damaging it. I can make it a lot smaller

Glad you all like the figures, got some more comin later this year

    Cheers

    Steve .... Thank you! :)

Ken .... Thank you too! :)

Pedro ... Again thanks .... and onward :)

    Tony .... Thank you! :)

    Some headway :)

Working on the headgear and scarf .... decided on a red scarf to parallel the red in the face and try and counter the green/grey of the toque and collar of the greatcoat .... and stuff ;)

the rabbit fur is heading in the right direction and I'll Dry Brush some lighter highlights before I apply the last washes of browns.

    Picture.........

The scarf is fairly subdued for you Mark. I thought maybe a Paisley pattern or something?

What's the figure wearing Mark, is it the remains of camwhites, or a bed sheet?
I like what you've done so far.
    Carl.
