    The short sword.

    The sword.
    A= brushed it with suede brush.
    b= 000 steel wool circular motion.
    c = wash with dish washing detergent using an old tooth brush,rinse well.
    d= several controlled washes of ivory black.
    e= when dry burnish extremeties with the end of a knitting needle.

    Scabbard
    a= undercoat with Jo Sonja's acrylic Burnt umber.
    b= base= Burnt umber + Burnt Sienna.
    c= medium shadows = base + Windsor blue.
    d= extreme shadows= straight Windsor blue.
    e= medium highlight Mars brown.
    f= extreme highlights= Indian red.

    After it dries I will give it lighter highlights and darker shadows.

    Very nice work Roc - A heck of a lot of work for a very small piece! That will reap rewards once your full figure is put together - an argument in favour of painting pre-assembly perhaps. I never have the patience to put that much into the accessories (or the groundwork :( )
