I had this bust for many years and decided to redo it since it wasn't painted very well in my early years. Hopefully I've improved it a bit unless I made it worse than it was that is ;).
This is a huge bust. I think it's 1/6 scale sculpted by the Great Augie Rodriguez (hope I spelled that correctly :)).
Any comments positive or negative are always welcome.

    Regards to all.

    Good stuff

The chainmail and colours look good. Perhaps maybe not use black on the beard maybe a lighter shade and some more highlights. Well painted though.

Augie fashioned the chainmail for the sculpt accurately from small rings in the pursuit of accuracy....he is known for that sense of precision in his work.....must have had good eyesight and immense patience! You have done a nice job on the bust too!

Thank you all for your comments. I have another of Augie's bust called Bartolomeo Colleoni , in the same scale which I intend finishing in the near future. I really treasure both these busts knowing that Augie made very few of them and are near impossible to find again.

    Best regards to everyone.

I did this bust a good 8 years ago and decided recently to repaint it, but I don't remember doing anything major to it except for for the usual resin cleanup. The chainmail is a work of art in itself. Thanks for the nice comments.

    He's alive !!!

    How are you Augie ?????????

You might not remember but I'm the one that bought those 2 'Alferez de Santiago - Malta 1565' figures off you ages ago and they are still untouched inside their orignal boxes lol. I promised to do one for my sister once but I guess she gave up on me ;). Don't worry, they are still at the top of my list-to-do-one-day-soon list:D

Glad to see you are alive and kicking. Are you still sculpting any masterpieces ?

Take care my friend and my best regards.

    Bonswa, habib!

Indeed I do, and be glad that you have them! It is my understanding that they have been discontinued. I still have an extra one that will be done as the subject figure when I start yearning for Malta again. I am hoping that that will be when I finally get my bust of de Valette done as well. . .

Still sculpting away. . . it is who I am and what I do, after all; but nothing mainstream commercial in the last two years. Have taken a break from the Western medRen stuff for a while and going full-bore with the Japanese. . .

    Caw!
