My next piece in this series of 1/4 scale painting exercises is the character River, played by Summer Glau in the series Firefly. This was actually quite a challenge. It is a repaint for a friend and while stripping the old paint off I believe a bit of detail was lost.... I have also found that doing female tones hand painted is freakin ridiculous! I designed my own eye applications for this project. Yes they are not hand painted, sorry. At this scale it is impossible, (for me) to paint a perfect eye. So I designed a whole set of photo perfect eyes in Photoshop and scaled and printed them on decal paper. I think they turned out well! You will see a different shade on Inara, my next post.
