    Hi everyone,

Just finished this excellent figure sculpted by Maurizio Bruno. Painted as usual in acrylics. It's based on a contemporary portrait of Chef d'escadron Raveneau of the 14th Chasseurs so I thought I'd paint it as such, rather than follow the box art. (The instructions give painting options for Raveneau.) It was a change to paint a figure wearing orange anyway - not an easy colour to get looking right. I've attached an illustration of Raveneau which is based on the original portrait.

    Hope you like it.

    Many thanks all.

Piet - the illustration comes from Joseph Margerand's "Les Coiffures de L'Armée Française". I have seen a black and white copy of the original portrait but I can't remember which book it was in..
