    Dear Friends.
The Panzerlehr division is a real interest of mine.Armed with various Osprey books ive set about converting a Tamiya 1.16th panzer commander into an mg.42 gunner of the Lehr Panzer greandiers, the left arm came[/ panzerlehr july 2015 003.JPG panzerlehr july 2015 004.JPG panzerlehr july 2015 005.JPG from the Tamiya walking infantryman with mg.42.I believe this particular figure is oop.Ive used collar Litzen from an old VLS/Techstar etch set which has many badges etc for Wehrmacht,Wffen ss,Luftwaffe.I was going to use a rather nice old resin head from Warriors. This head lokks very sorrowful but im saving this for later builds as i get better at converting.A simple start to wet my appetite for my advance conversions and easier then doing camo patterns till im more competent.
    Thanks for looking, Richard

Nice variation to the stock plastic Richard, keeping an eye on this...:) (BTW I have that old VLS/Techstar etch set somewhere, where did I put it? o_O)

    Hello Richard:
Oh my, I really like what you're doing here. Of course,
conversion work on figures is always more difficult than
doing it straight Out Of the Box (that's OOB for beginning
figure modelers) But I think we learn so much more and
improve our skills at a faster rate by doing conversions.
I particularly like the way you have tilted the head.
Very interesting aspect of the pose. Will follow this with
    interest. Kansas Kid

Thank you Kansas kid for your kind comments.I chickened out of making a camo cover for the figure, and rather lazily found a plastic one from another Dragon figure.I tilted his head as if to look to the heavens and hope no Allied fighters are approaching.Have a few Lehr figures planned!!.
Thanks for dropping by from Richard

Looking forward to seeing this completed. These 1/16th scale Tamiya figs are oddly inspiring to me. I actually have one of these kits (unbuilt) sitting next to my desk as I sculpt!
