Hello Gary, I can't send pics to your inbox here because I am not a 'supporter' (names appear in yellow).
If you PM me your address, I can put them on a disc for you, then you can open it on your PC.

    Cheers

Thanks Mark, Ron's going to send me one on disk. :). It's quite depressing to realise that the average three year old knows more about computers than me!!!

I have nothing to crow about where colour is involved, on one of my roadkill rounds I painted a pair of brown shoes that turned out in daylight to be purple!!!o_O
    Best wishes, Gary.

Ok for someone who has decided to go with oils and is new to the hobby and has not really used oils before I am blown away, not just by your detailed explanation which is immense but the fact that you replied to every single question and gave even more detail to so many others, really very good of you.
Being a new bee to the hobby and a total beginner with oils , as I write this have not used oils before really found this method as something for me to aspire too, naturally there are many questions I need to ask ............but I now know I only want to use oils at least for flesh. Thank you

Great job Ron, my two cents here will be to change the background, IMO other color than white will enhance the figure colors more.

    Thanks for comment Ro :)
Not sure if you are referring to the undercoat...or the background in the pics.
If the pics....it was the best I could do at the time.
If the undercoat colour (white) I have revised my technique a lot since then...changed how I undercoat.....and now use Transparent oil colours 98% of the time in my technique.
This will give you an idea of where I am now with the technique..http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/a-brave-new-world.114888/

A fascinating masterclass in a different technique to produce a superb end result - a lot of food for thought.

    Many thanks Mike.

As stated...I have since revised and honed the technique....but it remains the same in essence.
