Last week we showed you a preview of one of our upcoming releases for Euro-Militaire this coming weekend and mentioned that we would be releasing two at this show. Well staying with the historic theme for this batch of releases here is our 2nd release.

The Mongolian Horse Archer is a 90mm mounted bust (yes I did say bust) and we think it is something very different.
Available from War Griffon Miniatures (Model Display Products) at Euro-Militiare this coming weekend (20/21st September).

    Mongolian Horse Archer (WGMHist-002)
    Sculpt by Sergey Zlobov with some additional work by Rob Lane;
    Material: Resin
No of Parts: 14 including the base/stand
    Price: £35.00

    Hi Martyn ,

Well you said it was different and it certainly is ...a 3/4 bust on a 1/2 (approx) horse .

It certainly has an appeal and a really good price for what you get ,

scale is good for this type IMO and a lot of nice details are to be seen

Hope this does well for you at Euro and beyond

    Thanks for sharing

Now this is different. I love it (even if it isn't something I would normally paint).

It is novel but it doesn't seem too removed from a "non-bust" figure which would be equally, if not more, impressive.

A great contender for best bust of 2014. Should do very well.

I'm not sure. It reminds me of one of those dudes you see in a parade wearing a panto horse lower half. Kudos for imagination and daring.

Nicely sculpted piece........the layout reminds of this statue of Francis Marion, The Swamp Fox, who, when this was unveiled, Francis Marion.jpg caused some controversy

Reminds me of somebody on a fairground ride. Believe it Would look better as a full figure. Sorry.

As has been said this is a very good concept because it's something different, which is something I believe we are all looking for.
But I have to agree with gogok, it lacks the dynamic soul and spirit I'd expect to see in such a piece.
