I am painting this bust and have it near completion.
Any thought on how to make it better would be helpful.
    Much Thanks

    Looks very nice Mike (y)

No pointers here, but then again I'm more sculptor than painter ;)

Hi Mike, nice work. For me personally, a little more contrast in the blue jacket would give it more depth.

I like it very much Mike. I've recently been thinking I might just stray from flats for a short time and purchase either your Imperial German Hussar or Uhlan and now if this is going to be an up coming release you've just made the choice even more difficult. :)

Mike, it looks good based on the pictures. You are improving with each piece, and the face looks pretty good too. I would try a little more contrast on the jacket with the shadows and hightlights.

If I can be of help, just let me know.

2 -days of blue laying to the tunic. Cleaned up some things and I have it looking better. I have learned blue take hours of thin layers (100"s ) to get it to look good. Hope you like.

I personally think it was worth the extra layering on the blue Mike. Draws you to look at the whole in more detail. Nice one.

    Thanks Ron,
I think so also, the more you paint the more there is to learn.
    Thanks for the tips also.

The extra effort with the blue has really paid off Mike, it looks much better.
I know this uniform... Kube? :D

    Roger,
You are right, this uniform came to the Cramer Museum from the Kube Auction. The uniform was in the Brand Collection at Burg Hermannstein Castle. Some photos for you to view of the uniform.

Thanks for the additional photo's Mike. I saved the photo's from the Kube auction site awhile ago... I knew they would come in handy one day. :)

    Roger.
