More inks but they don't show well with the sheen and the harsh light.

No new ground to cover just the urge to repeat myself. This is stunning and I just marvel at it. I also think that this time around the face is looking even better.

Hope this time there's no issues as I'd hate to see all this great work wasted again.
Looks fantastic, as I figured it would.

    Good luck

Thanks all. In the photos he is just looking a bit like he is done in shades of burnt sienna. I may try a different camera. Very encouraging comments much appreciated.

These pix are a bit better. They still make him look more sienna than he is.

For Nap - Inks used were liquitex raw umber, violet, red brown, red, sienna; citadel blue, black; and Romney sepia. The red brown was applied to cheeks, tip and side of nose, temples, bridge of nose. Red to the cheeks. Violet around the eyes, creases of nose, temples. Sepia to collar line, wrinkles, hair, ear recesses. Sienna as a unifying wash in places. Blue under eyes. Black to cravatte ( which was undercoated a dark grey). All inks were heavily diluted with water - at least 50% and in many cases 75%. Applied sparingly with a WN series 7 00 brush.

Beautiful facial tones Colin, when finally mated down, this face will look fantastic!!! In my opinion, your 2nd attempt of this piece, is much better than your first, which I thought was your best face painting. I wish you continued success finishing this outstanding piece. Regards, SG:)(y)(y)

Matted his face (better luck this time). The colour below is slightly oranger than real due to the lighting used in
