    Hey Guys!

No rest for the wicked!! Decided to paint this while the groundwork for the knight is curing. Sould get him done later tonight or tomorrow!

Here is the face on Latorres great 78th Highlander Bust. The eyes are slanted inwards a bit which is kind of akward but it worked out ok in the end. I also include a coulple of pics of the palettes I used, I always wonder what it looks like so I figures maybe someone else would be interested in that too.

Enough talk, here are some pics! Let me know what you think!

    Thanks guys!! :)

    Pete,

I'm flattered! But why in the world would you need a SBS from me when we have one from one of the best, Jaume!

    Dear Anders,

I agree whole heartidly with Pete ... sbs please. For a bust - which I find hard to blend flesh tones etc. I think you have done an outstanding job. Well done. The flesh is hard enough to do with acrylics and you have gone and done it with acrylics!!!!

Well done once again and do not sell yourself short at all...

    Cheers
    Franco :)

GREAT job with the flesh tones! Are you going to add a coat of satin varnish to give the skin a sheen?

    Wow Guys :)

Have to say I am surprised at your reaction! I'll put together a SBS on something sometime soon, busy painting for Tulsa now :)

As for the mix, I tried a new mix for this one, the base coat was made up of, all Vallejos:

    814 Cadm. Umber Red
    955 Flat Flesh
    929 Light Brown
    tad of 984 Flat Brown

Higlights were 955 flesh mixed with the base coat until pure 955 was reached

Then 837 Sand Light was used until I reached 837 as super hi highlight.

Shadows were base + more 814 Cadm. Umber Red and deep shadows were shadow mix with black added.

I only did about 2 shadows and 1 deep shadow, no telling how many highlights, probably close to 20. I try to accentate the highlighs as much as possible as they are easier to paint then the shadows.

    Thanks again guys!
