Here's something i've been painting recently to have some fun, rather than be restricted by the more normal figures i usually paint.A perfectly sculpted and cast bust from JMD and costing only £14.A nice light relief.

Another lovely bit of work. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh. You have done a superb job with the metal and the face is looking very good.
These JMD figures are a real find. Got the Senegalese trumpeter at Sword and Lance and Davie got a couple including the WW 1 British infantryman. Castings are great.
    Lovely job.

    Brian,

Superb work as usual. I too love the skin tones you have achieved. How did you find the casting etc. on this bust as I am planning to purchase one shortly? Also what scale is the Khan in?

    Thanks and well done

    Hi Franco
The casting is the best i've seen in resin. The scale is about 150mm approx. The face is a bit bigger than a thumbnail.I highly recommend this figure.

It's small for a bust, but perfect for what i wanted.Something that would give me a break from the norm;paint straight from the box and a perfect casting at £14 can't be bad.
I didn't buy the Andrea bust as i got sick of waiting for it to come out and when it did ,i went off it,but not for the questionable casting reasons.I find that figure manufacturers give you a preview of whats coming soon ,which gets your juices going, and then you find that their soon is months. So sometimes the wait can diminish my juices ,so to speak. My wife says i'm just like a big kid,and she should know as i've been married to her for 42 years

    P.S.
Thanks to you guys with all your kind comments, much appreciated.

    Hi Brian

Damned impressive mate, its a superb bust, it seems that the French sculptors and casters can’t go wrong at the moment. Will this be at Euro?
