I have been working on a couple of pieces in between the two major projects and although I don't have an sbs for them thought I would post a couple of Pics. The first 54mm is Time Machine's Vercingetorix, where I am in the middle of striping the right leg and have the tunic to do in a red plaid yet. The hair gets further drybrushing to lighten it out more. Not sure yet what I am going to do with the base yet. The fur around the cape will be drybrushed several times and become white.

The second figure is the Elite Mongol Archer, 54mm. I am working on the bow case and quiver now and also the wrist guard on his left hand and will attach the left arm next. I will also have the Mongol Horse from Andrea included later with the horse in the background. I will also replace the rock the left foot is on as everyone has used this in pics I have seen. I will use a resin tree stump that his foot will be resting on.

    Hi Guy
Nice work on both but I'd like to see better pictures ;)
I painted Vercingetorix some time ago and enjoyed it so much.
I remember the most time consuming parts to paint were hair and the fur around the cape.

Sorry guys, until I can get a better camera, the pics I just posted are better than what I just came up with after 2 hours of pic taking.

I was able to finish up the Elite Mongol Archer and the next part of my groundwork series has this base and groundwork as the examples.

The Time Machine Figure has slowly progressed and I have the dark brown stripes to shade yet and I have done the hair and drybrushed the fur cape again.

Nice work guy. I really like the Mongol Archer. Were there any problems with the fit or anything else? I was seriously thinking about doing this figure soon.

    Thanks, Jim

Thanks for the kind words guys. Jim......There were no problems with any fitment of the Archer. Everything went together fine. I will be starting their other new 54mm Mongol soon.

    Hi Guy,

    Wonderfull work as always.

I particulary like the way you have done the fur of Verci. Your pattern painting on the Mongol is amazing too. I have mine completely assembled waiting till I have some time to prime and paint him. He too went together without any problems.

    Keep up the excellent work,

    gino

Looking great Guy! Wish the pics were a little clearer, but the figures sure look like they are nicely done. What else are you working on?

Thanks Anders. The camera I have does pretty good on larger pics but it sucks for taking pics on the 54's. I have 4 Napoleonic drummers in progress to be completed by the 1st of May. The many workbench projects are also still in the works.

Guy, how do you do it?. You must have more than two arms to get all that painting done.
