    Hello,

Here it is another piece I been working on and finished recently.
I tried to reproduce the actual XII century tartans, with muted colours from natural dyes.
I didn't follow the suggestion made by some fellow planeteers of painting some chest hair because I feared that I couldn't managed to do that well enough, but it's never too late to add that detail.

The badge that it is in the base was made by me and it's based in ancient coins. The symbol is a thistle, one of Scotland national symbols.

The base is custom made by Ron Tamburrini, to whom I give a big "thank you".
My gratitude also to those who gave tips about the tartan.

    Beautifully done Pedro!
The subdued tartan pattern is perfect. The groundwork is just awesome... I've not been to the Highlands but this is just how I picture it... well done!
I really like the angled cut on the base and the idea for the ancient coin is very cool.

Be proud of this one Pedro (y)

The Tartan it's hard, sometimes boring work, but when it's complete is big reward.

Nice job on this one. I think the muted colors on the tartan turned out very well, they look perfect. I also like the worn metal look you got for the axe and helmet. Excellent work!
