Completed Critique Greek Strategos

    Hey guys, after procrastinating for some time, I finally got around to finish this 90mm. Pegaso figure.
    I would like to dedicate this noble greek to all my Greek friends around the world.
    Your comments and advice are welcome.

    Face

    Base = Rembrant flesh ochre + windsor Newton Transparent Gold Ochre +
    Rembrant burnt Sienna and a touch of Windsor blue to cool the mix .
    medium shadow = Base + Mars Brown .
    Dark shadows = Allizarin brown.
    Extreme shadows = Sepia.

    Medium Highlights = base + Naples Yellow.
    extreme highlights = Naples yellow.

    The mouth.
    Burnt umber + magenta.

    Rose tones
    Cadmium red + touch of Indian red mixed into medium shade mix.

    Lips
    Added more indian red to rose tones.





    Bronze

    Undercoat = apple barrel acrylic brown.

    1- Base = Testors gold + Sepia.
    2- shadow = Sepia.
    3- High light = Rose's gold powder rich gold.

    I applied the base color very smoothly with a flat brush.
    After waiting a half hour , I gently rubbed some gold powder to all the highlight areas.
    Than I very carefully applied the shadows.


    Sandels and leather parts

    Undercoated with Apple Barrel acrylic Burnt Umber,

    1 - Base= Mars brown + Alizzarin brown.

    2- Memium shadow = Windser blue added to base mix.

    3- Deep shadow = pure Windsor blue.

    4- Medium highlight = Mars brown + Mars orange.

    5- second highlight = Mars orange + Naples yellow.

    6- Extreme highlights = Naples yellow.

    Crest - black

    1-Base= Burnt Umber + Prussian blue + Magenta + flesh
    2-Medium shadow = Base minus the flesh.
    3-Deep shadows = Mars black.
    4-Medium highlights = base + more flesh.
    5-high highlights= medium highlights + lot more flesh.
    6-EHtreme highlights= flesh.

    Crest - white part
    Base= Titanium white + Paynes gray.

    Blue Tunic
    1=Base= Cerulium blue + a little Titanium white with a little bit of Paynes gray.
    2=shadow= Windsor blue.
    3=highlight=Base + more titanium white.

    Red lion on shield.

    1- Base= Cadmium red +cadmium red deep.
    2- medium shadow= Cadmium red deep.
    3- Deep shadow= dioxine purple
    4-highlights= Cadmium red.
