I keep coming back to computer sculpting rather than painting lately, so I figured I'd show where I'm at with my latest one. I've figured out how to hollow effectively, at least on simple shapes, so I'm optimistic that this one will be relatively cheap to print. I'd like to try a couple different sizes this time as well. As long as I can keep the poly count relatively low, I'm hoping I'll be able to get a full figure out of it. I'm going to experiment with masking to pose her rather than sculpt her in pieces like my last one. I'm thinking it should be easier to hollow that way. I'll find out soon enough!:)

    James,

Very interesting project! Amazing what computers can do!

Yup! Give 'em time and I'll be able to paint with this thing and have a decent color print come out:) I'm still tempted to try and see what a grainy print looks like in the interim.

I've started fleshing out the figure now, still pretty lumpy but I'm getting there.

It's really strange sculpting without an armature, I keep measuring with a ruler on the screen. It's also really strange not sculpting to a pose, it seems that it's probably best to pose her once I've gotten more done on the whole figure. We'll see, but so far so good...

Working a bit more on this the last couple days. Still need to thicken the legs and arms some and then start detailing the hands and feet...
