I've finally got round to finishing this latest project, I'm very happy with the outcome with the scene and the figure itself, I found the figure quite enjoyable to paint and decided to keep the colours quite muted as I didn't want anything too colourful on the figure.
The figure was painted using GW base coats and finished with oils, I used different shades of grey / umber / black / ochre using different mixes until I was happy.
The construction and painting of the backdrop was the same as the Bill Sikes I did last month.

I would like to mention that in no way am I glorifying this piece, I understand how this subject may seem to offend people and it was not my intension to do that and that it was just a painting subject for me, I've mentioned this because I wasn't aware of the posting some time back where some people on the planet seem to object to the figure on its release.

Also the neck-tie in my photo's looks blue, I can assure you the colour is a muted greyish colour, again as I've mentioned before my camera skills are crap so ill hope you bear with me when viewing the photo's.

Many thanks again to all the people for their kind comments on the original post,i hope you enjoy the finished piece, all comments and criticism are always welcome.

Stunning piece of work, love the colours of the figure, but that base is outstanding. The hues of green and rust colour make it look old, damp and dark. Very atmospheric

Wonderful, real sense of place and time.
In atmosphere it reminds me of some of the 'theatrical' pieces that were done by Fletcher Clement.
    Fagin next?

What a wonderful piece now that its finished Brian, simply super.
The completed figure and scene looks great and the alleyway really sets it off.
Still think a bit more rubbish but thats just my idea.
    Wonderful Mate!

    Don
People complaining about the figure, its nonsense. Anyone alive today who had someone murdered by JTR???
