This is brilliant, brings back lots of memories.
Beautifully painted, the colours remind me of a Perch with all the iridescent effect.
Can imagine that with some clever lighting this would look spectacular on display.

    Good morning, Derek:
And thank you for taking time to post your comments.
The response for the Planeteers is surprising, yet quite an
encouraging experience. You mentioned the fresh water
variety Perch, a fish I'd completely forgotten about. But
yet, it brought back some great early teen memories from
when I spent the days of Summer in the Lake of the
Ozarks, state of Missouri, USA. And you're right that Perch
really did have that kind of iridescent "glow". Good eating
    too! Thanks again, Sir,

Really nice talking to you guys about the old aurora kits. I live over the pond in the UK and I was really lucky to get those kits in the early 70s. Some enterprising person had the good sense to ship some of those great kits over to here. Like you say Stash, they are really collectable now and very expensive to get an original. I once had the mummy, Dracula, Frankenstein, the wolf man, Godzilla, the creature from the black lagoon, Dr Jekyll as Mr Hyde, and the hunchback of Notre dame. I wish that I had kept them, but it's real nice knowing there were so many of us painting them then who are still painting now. Long may we continue. Kansas Kid, that is a great painting of the Crow scout too. You have my respect. John Scott.

    Hello Mr. John Scott, Jazz:
Oh sir, I enjoyed your post so much. It brought
back so many memories. Obviously, altho you're not
into your late 70's, you are a man who was "around"
back in the day, . . . as we know say. I appreciate your
kind remarks so much . That you even mentioned my
avatar, "White Man Runs Him" .. . . was so kind. My
best regards to you, Sir and to your family,

Hi Rickster , so good to see you posting again after such a long time . I know from our emails and phone chats how much colour harmony means to you and I hope other modellers have been able to take something of this from this thread . I would like to encourage you to post the 1/1 scale blunderbuss you have just finished . I know it's not a figure but it would give other modellers the chance to see how to use acrylic paints to paint large metallic areas , plus your incredible modelling skills .

Greetings to you gentlemen, Chippy, Carl and Mike:
I do so appreciate you taking time to respond to my
Black Lagoon Creature vignette. And thank you for those
encouraging words. Most appreciated. Chippy, I would
love to post photos of my Lindberg repop of the old
one to one scale Blunderbus. However, I don't want to
cause any trouble on this fine & well managed website,
as that pistol kit has nothing to do with figure modeling.
Also, I really don't know how to negotiate this web site
very well. I picked V-bench because that is where I
saw the button for "posting new threads" I saw no
new thread area on the home page. And of course
V-bench is not the correct place for completed figures.
I guess I am just too old to really understand how to do
    things with a web site.

    Thanks again, Gentlemen,

    Rick Brownlee aka, Miami Jayhawker
