Guy, this is a nice looking piece. I like the pants on both warriors real well. Are you going to bring them to Tulsa this Friday? One thing I would revisit is the photo-etch plant. The branches look like they could be more 3-dimensional. A coat of five minute epoxy on the branches before painting would help.

Yeah, Guy. That's basically it. I did it using JB Quik, bescause it's what I had handy. Mix up your epoxy, and drag it on the flat portions with a toothpick or something. If you want to get more ambitious, twist the branches before adding in the epoxy. This can be a little fiddly. In one of the EuroModellissimo books the artist used Duro strings.

Thanks guys for your kind words and encouragement!

Franco - The groundwork was started with a pre-cast resin stone wall from another kit, that I didn't use with the soldier.(Michael Roberts). The tall grass is plugs made with woodland scenics products after drilling for each plug. The small tree is a brass photo-etched product from verlinden. The debris and the leaves is from Hudson & Allen products.

Kenneth - The base is a Ken Thomas Art Bases from York, PA. and is 1 inch by 3 1/4 inch round.

Many thanks John, Robin, Franco and Larry,
I appreciate your kind words. It was just last year that I ventured back into 54mm after years doing only 90mm and 120mm figures. I wasn't sure I could handle the smaller detail but your encouragement has me looking at what to do next in the 54mm range. :)
