Just about finished this fella.I had big problems with matting down some of the surfaces which turned into a bit of a nightmare.I must have used at least 4 types of matt varish with crap results,so i ended up overpainting the afflicted areas and then under the lamp.Seems to have worked ,but a very frustrating time.

You will have an incredible display at Euro Brian :)
this seems to be a stellar year for you with every piece showing the same level of quality.

I like the naturalness of your faces & richness of the other materials.
    Nothing ever seems overdone.

And your photos are also improving ;)

    Stay safe

Really nice work on this Brian.

Apparantly Vallejo matt varnish through an airbrush is the choice of matt varnish for aero modellers this year.
I caught up with one of my aircraft mates at Edinburgh who recommended it.

Looks fantastic Brian. I wish I could be in Folkstone to see them all in person. I was really interested to hear you had problems with matting the surfaces. I had the same problem with my own version, and I never have problems with glossy finishes. I must have used 4 coats of different matt finishes myself. It's still shiny! Well, best of luck at Euro.

    Hello Brian.
Another amazing bust from you. Like a lot, all the parts of it. A shame the problem with matt varnish. I had the same problem in the past, cause i use acrilics, and reds and blues use to have a satin efect. Since i found Ultra Matt Varnish from AK i don't have problems. I put the varnish with the colours, with brush and airbrush, but i you use oils, you can give it after end the paint too
