I'm stunned by the dennison Mark. Absolutely perfect colouring and pattern.

Please share your mixes! They must be the Definitive Mix for this camo.

    Cheers,

I love the "brush stroke" effect on the Denison (it's Denison, not "Dennison" BTW :) ). It's captured it very nicely. That pattern is much harder to do than it looks.

Brian ... Many thanks, update later today :)

Stu ... Glad you think so. I must admit over the last couple of figures it seems to flow a bit more than it did. Practice pays off eh? :)

Adrian ... Thank you :) mixes below...

    Carl ... Thanks mate :)

    Andy ... Many thanks :)

Harry ... Thank you! Yes Denison .. ( spelling is not a strong point with me :( ) the design is actually not too difficult with good reference ... still a long winded process mind :)

A quick break down of the colours ( which are exactly the same as the Para Officer I did for Stu last year http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35329&page=2 ) for the Denison base fabric

    Low ... AV Burnt Umber
    Mid .... AV English Uniform
High ... Mid plus AV Light Flesh

Then the swirls are done with..

First the brown was laid down using AV Mahogany Sand + AV Burnt Umber at 2:1 diluted at 3:1 with a measure of flow enhancer to allow for even glazing.

Then the greens were laid down using AV Luft. Cam. Green + AV USA Olive Drab at 2:1 diluted at 3:1 again with a measure of flow enhancer.

I have since gone on to highlighting with a very diluted base fabric colour ( AV English Uniform plus AV Light Flesh at 1:1 ) and dropping some stronger shadows in with GW Gryphon Sepia ...

I will post some pictures shortly

    :)

Sterling job mate, you have that denison pattern cracked now, must be all that practice :).
Enjoyed watching this, another one of your WIP, I am actually starting to grasp this acrylic thing now by watching your painting.

    Cheers mate

I think the denison works better with the darked base colour. I think I prefer the helmet though.

Carl ... Cheers ... I'm still undecided on which head to use :)

The figure is finished bar some weathering ... base is now mostly finished on construction so paint next :)
