Hi friends!!

Actually I'm working in this nice bust for a private collector. Pictures are a little bit darker, but I'll take better for next time.

Feel free to comment or ask!

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for posting , this is indeed a nice bust form the range produced by The Basement and sculpted by Rob Lane , I have this ready to review so its good to see one being painted .

Like the flesh tones , are you painting the helmet on the figure ?

Are you using NMM for the armour ?

What references are you using ...a great book which Rob used is called the Medieval Soldier by Gerry Embleton and John Howe (15th Century Campaign Life recreated in Colour Photographs) ISBN 1 85915 036 5 , published by Windrow & Greene

great face so far. I'm going to start by begging for an SBS on your next piece. I would love to see something like this from you.

    Thanks my friends!

napoleonpeart: Yes Kevin, you're right, this bust was sculpted by Robert Lane for The Basement's range. I'd painted the helmet separately of the head. It's easiest for me in that way. I'd used real metallics paints (I ussually don't like the NMM). I think I'm using this same book that you mentioned ;)

Meehan34: I really would like to share with you a SBS, but as you can see, I paint very fast so sometimes it's very difficult to me to take pictures, etc... But I'll try to do it!

    Edorta: Gracias Eduardo! ;)

Well, more advances, with the metals painted.

    Thanks friends!

Aveleira: The metal was painted as ussual in me. Over a metallic base (boltgun metal) I work with whases and textures all the shadows. I didn't work in lights, just in shadows

The white was a base of Deck Tan that was worked with different tones (green, brown, red...)
