    Hello again so soon:

As promised, I put the last few finishing touches on this bust last evening and so I thought I would post him up quickly before the demands of the work week catch up with me. This is of course Pegaso's Bashibuzak bust which is another of my Euromilitaire souvenirs. I had a great time painting this figure and some challenges too. Getting rid of the persistent sheen my oil paints produced was one particular struggle which I took care of with a few sprays of Humbrol matt varnish. I'm still not entirely happy with the final result and may need to give it a few more blasts. Let me know what you think:) I'd also like to apologize in advance for the dust all over his head (didn't even notice until after the pics were uploaded!)

Thanks Carl and Jay. The opportunity for colour was what made this figure so much fun to paint.

Thanks to you both Marc and Mark: I'm sure you've both seen other reviews, but let me just add that this is one of the best examples of a bust that you are likely to find in this hobby. If you don't have one already I'd highly recommend picking one up for your workbench.

    Hi Glenn,

Superb painting mate. Colourful and vibrant. The wood work on the pistol grip is very well done.

Thanks Ray, it was a lot of fun to paint and credit must also go to the sculptor for creating such a good "canvas."
Thanks Tony, wood grains have become easier for me since reading Danilo's book.
