Here is the latest guy I have finished, it is yet another great sculpt by Young. I posted this a few days ago in the painting section for some advice and got some really good tips and tried to apply them the best I could. Thanks for the help fellas, Jay went above and beyond and sent me a great tutorial so I hope I didn't let him down. Mike the Kiwi kinda set the bar for us mortals (Lee's box art will never be topped) and I am glad he encouraged me to go forward and paint the bust. Here he is, and as always i wish for your honest advice and comments as I am still fresh to the hobby and trying to learn.

Good on ya Mike for following up on this one, every figure done will help you develop your own confidence & skills. Photos are a bit hard to tell the actual colours, can I suggest when you shoot them you have them about 6+inches from the background so that this doesn't obscure the light & blurs slightly due to being out of focus. This will allow bust to stand out further.

Generally colours look OK, have you got any club mates, local modellers or even family that can view these in the flesh to discuss there observations of it. I've tried my missus but she isn't interested ;-) However my son is an artist & has helped me discern how my flesh colour looks as well as position of eyes etc. Detail that can only properly be determined by looking at your own work.

Keep it up, Mike & trust you enjoy getting this one under your belt.

    Does this help?

Hey ya Mike, Thanks for commenting on the bust. i was hoping that you would get to see it. I'll put your advice to use on my next photo's. I have been putting them right up against the back ground so your tip will for sure make an impact.
