Hail Gang
Had this for my birthday last week and am planning a small conversion
He hopefully will be stood with a captured Roman standard and the shield, not on his back, but laid on the ground
I had to do an extensive filling job on the back as without the shield there is a very large hole!
I had to use my imagination on the back as there is no reference to work on and reposition the right arm to hold the standard. at the moment a cocktail stick!
So far so good

Looks like you did a great job with his back !!

Why don't you keep the cocktail stick? You can use the figure at parties.
