    Hi Guys

Thanks to all those of you who helped me get the reference together for this particular figure, specifically Stephen (Bluesking) for the books, thanks mate there is a couple of beers on me at Euro.

This is probably one of the most beautifully sculpted figures of this period I have ever seen, I have enjoyed every minute of painting this, I await your comments and critique...

    Cheers Dave

That is a beautifuly finished figure Dave. Can you remind us who made it and the scale? I wouldn't mind painting this myself.

    Dave,
REALLY nice! I love the wear and subtle pattern you achieved on the coat. The muted colors are fantastic. Great work!

    Hi Dave

Very nice work there mate. I liked this figure as soon as I saw it. Good contrast between the muted colours of the pagri and poshteen overlaying the scarlet jacket. You've certainly done it justice.

I haven't even opened the box on mine yet!

    Cheers

    Dave,

That is a fantastic figure. Your painting shows great sympathy for the period. Also the face, a key factor to any figure looks awesome.

    Well done,

    Dave,

I have no words for it. So great. That leatherwork, the reds, white's all those details. No words, just enjoying this lovely paintwork.

This really is a fabulous job of painting. The leather is superb and the turban. I also like the subtle patterning in the clothing. One thought: It looks like the face - heading toward the sides of the head and beard, could you some blending to cut down on contrast.

    Again, truly great job!

Hi Kyle..looking at these pictures on my monitor I would easily believe the same about the transitions in colour..if I hadn't seen this figure on wednesday in the flesh..in fact on my monitor all the colours look much less appealing than they did in the flesh..so I've made up my mind to get me a new monitor, I have done all that I can with this one and nothing looks as good as it should on it.

All I can say is Dave, I think this is 'far and away' your best figure yet and you've done a fair few lately mate...the face is your very best, maybe it's because it's a little darker than your usual paintwork, but it sure does look the business...and that coat and turban...wow...don't stop mate.

    All the best...Roy.

    Dave,

Roy makes great points - I know how funny contrasts can get when photographed, resized, and the sent across the internet! And as I said, this is a fabulous piece of work! I truly admire it and hope that some day I can paint with such fine touch and skill.

    Cheers mate,

    Kyle
