The Old Guard Association of the 3rd INF RGT, requested another figure for the 2011 reunion. The request was for the 1st SGT of the 5th INF that Alan Ball did for me a couple years back. The only difference in the 3rd and 5th INF is the number of the RGT is in the Eagle. I painted the figure to represent a 1st SGT in Winter Service Dress 1827. The figure is 75mm. Oils were used for the flesh and Acrylics for the rest. A Ken Thomas base was used to display the figure.

Thanks Anthony, Gordy, and Roger for the compliments. I was with the Old Guard in 1963/64 and it is the sharpest outfit in the Army. Many of the future Generals pass through the Old Guard.

After I posted the penny suddenly dropped why your user name is what is, I know, I'm a bit slow, heaven knows what I'll be like at 68.
