    Hola Guys!

Here is a figure that I been working on the past few days. It was not a figure that I really planned to do but more or less just happened. I found a plate in an Osprey book and I just kept looking at it thinking it would make for a good figure, and after while it just told me to sculpt it so I did

Sculpted in Aves Apoxie, the green parts I used for some of the detail so it would be easier to see, its just Aves with some Andrea Field gray mixed in.

The figure is about 99% finished, still some cleaning up and adding of some buttons, and perhaps a gunsling, I am not sure if that will cast up well or not.

    Hi Anders,
nice details and very good pose, the only flaw I see is...
that the figure is not still painted!

I think it looks very good. The folds and wrinkles are very convincing. There is something going on with the waist of the figure though. From the side he looks like he's a little thick in the back instead of tapering in at the waist.

Thanks for your comments guys :)

    John,

I think you have a point there! Dont know what to do about it though without redoing the whole middle section. Guess I figured the one piece HBT was hanging down instead of following the countours of the body.

    Taesung,

Thanks man :) I tried your technique on this one by suclpting the folds then sharpening them with a scalpell, I found this to work very good, but also found that it is very hard to get it smooth and one have to be careful not to go too deep. I guess I'll learn, this was the first try at that method.

How do you smooth out the inside of the folds when you use the scraping method?

As far as a commercial kit, I am not 100% sure yet, we will see, if not I'll just paint it up as a one off.

    Thanks again guys!

    Nice work again my friend!

you are gaining an eye for he subtle... your "action" figures continue to impress, but the subtle ones, like this tanker, have so much life and "story" to them

I remmber interviewing a Former German SS officer who fought with L'Legion in Indo China. I meet him in a retiement home in San Deigo... (long story). I remmeber listening and watching his face and hands and realizing there was a story in every wrinkle... a war map etched on his face and skin. You are capturing that type of "life" in your figures.

    Bravo!

    Neill
