FREE ADMISSION
We are very much hoping that the event will have something of the flavour of that great annual modelling event, Figure World, almost like a large club meeting where enthusiasts can display their models, chat, exchange techniques and, generally, have a really relaxed and enjoyable day.
We are inviting a number of clubs and traders and we have decided to limit the competitions to just one, which is entitled “1916”. As the title implies, it is inspired by the Battles of the Somme and Jutland, and any models of that year, whether figure, vehicle, aeroplane etc., will be eligible to enter. And, as a special tribute to a great modelmaker and friend, the winner will be awarded the “John Tassell Trophy”. Admission to the show will be free in the hope that it will attract not only enthusiasts but also passers-by.
