Following on from the sculpting work my "mate" Jimbo did:

here is a couple of pics of Mr R all primed up with the blue ribboned VC in the middle ...will be working on this alongside others on the bench and update this post accordingly

I am keeping the painting as per the pictures ..with the 3 lines on his "Tea towel" on his shoulders !!! ..thanks to all who posted on my reference post:

The layout was not standardised till much later , the medals are as per the picture with the Naval VC in the middle .

Medlas seems to have been worn at the persons discretion/personal whim providing a varied layout

Not a problem ..the plan is that the blue ribbonned VC should be very distinctive so I am placing special emphasise on the medal itself .

Not done much more on this as I have another well on the way ...Sgt Bruse !!!

Hi Guys ,

Just a verbal update now (pics to follow !!) face now done ...using Jo Sonja 's nice stuff really trying to work on the tones . Hair still to do , neckcloth basecoated ...going to be a real light blue with white stripes (not looking forward to doing these!!!) working on the shirt now ...............

As promised here are some pics ...now finished the shirt , bow tie has been coloured to add a bit of interest .........the jacket only has a base with a wash on it ....loads more to do ...but its coming along !!!!

Hi to all ,

Just an update on this , hair/flesh all finished , jacket just needs a little more highs , medal ribbons all done , still to do the necktie and the lanyard as well as the arm badge .............

Oh and of course the actual medals paying particular attention to the VC ...all of these will be done with NMM .........

Hopefully at the BMSS Show tommorow ...updates after ...if I do anything inbetween talking or raiding the piggy bank!!!!!
