Good to be back fellow planeteers, thought i would post my latest work i've just finished, this is a 1/10th scale bust produced by andrea Miniatures which i picked up at Euro this year.
The bust consists of resin and white metal parts, the torso and head are one piece resin casting as is the mounting block which i did'nt use,the white metal parts are the pony tails, helmet, helmet strap Right side only, breast strap.
The bust is very well sculpted and went together quite easily after the usaul clean up,i decided to prime the bust with 2x light coats of Games Workshop chaos black which is available in spray can, this dries very quickly so i was able to start painting the same day.
All flesh areas wer'e undercoated with Games workshop Talern Flesh, this paint is part of their foundation range specifically designed to apply on top of black or white, once this was completed i finishd the flesh areas with oils.
All other parts of the figure wer'e completed the same way with acrylic basecoats finished with oils except the helmet which was finished with Mr Metalcote Dark iron, this was buffed and polished when dry and finished with light washes of indigo oil paint and windsor and newtons silver ink for the high spots and edges,i found the bust very enjoyable to paint and it made a nice change to attempt something from a different theatre of war, hope you enjoy the photo's,all coments welcome good or bad, happy painting:cool::cool:
P.S the bust is available from Historex Agents and retails arround £46.00

    Nice work

Great work on the eyes and fur. The blood splatters and scars also add a new dimension to this figure. All in all a great example of painting.
