Hi guys,

I just wrapped up this superb 54mm piece from Andrea. It's based on the famous Eisenstaedt photo taken in Times Square on Victory Over Japan Day, August 14, 1945. I decided to try something new with placing the photograph behind the figures. The sculpt captures the pose in the photo and matches it so well that I couldn't resist somehow incorporating the photo with the figures. Painted with acrylics. As always, thanks for looking!

Thanks Tom! The navy blue is Worn Navy (Reaper) and black, with more black to shade and basic skintone added for highlights.

I have loved that picture from the first day I saw it. And often thought I should buy the Andrea kit, but I am not sure I have the guts to paint it. You have done an amazing job, I think it's beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
