I finished this little vignette. Figures are from verlinden, head on the shotgun rider was changed to one from Royal model. All painted in oils. Please comment.

I'm mostly into armour and vehicles but always try to have at least one figure as I think it is a important complement, and brings it to life.

Overall, I like this: well painted, great expressions on the figures, nice weathering. I'd close the tailgate, however, since it would be bouncing around a lot on those unfinished roads. I'd then put the C ration box on the bed of the truck rather than the seat. As it is now, it's likely to slide off the seat and spill its contents (looks to have stuff it it in one picture) or even slide off the truck completely. The helmet's likely to bounce out as well with the tailgate down.

This is wonderfull. I made this Willys some years ago. I found that the funniest part of AFV modelling was to make the figures.
Then i looked on the WWW, find this site and now i'm only painting figures. So look out, don't get into the dark side of the force :lol: :lol: ..
What i mean, make a decission, paint figures or AFV otherwise you gonna end like me. Only painting figures.

Very nice work over all. I really like the expressions on the figures. Nice work on the Dodge and ground work as well!

I still build a model kit now and again myself. I started out modeling and now I'm predominently into figures, but it's a nice change of pace once in a while. Who knows, I may combine the two sometime soon! Wink-wink!

I don't know about you, but some days I find building vehicles boring, other I just hate painting figures and some days the only thing I enjoy is making groundwork. I guess i'm a happy fella since I can combine it all. Build, paint and weather vehicles, match it with some great figures and bring it all togheter in a convincing environment-I can't tell which part I enjoy most... Maybe planning it

About the tailgate, your'e absolutely right. It should probably be closed but I first intended to have a plutoon unloading from the back.

The driver was about to hit it, but his T.C stopped him. You know, he just wanted to have all the fun himself.
