Hi guys, just finished this little beautifull sculpted piece from Young Miniatures. All is painted in oils and printers ink.
I hope you like it, and thank you in advance for your comments,
    Eddy.

    Hi! Eddy.
    Great work, indeed.
The coloring with a soft and smooth face is amazing.
I'm always fascinated by your original painting.
    I congratulate completion.

This is the best version of this bust I have seen so far Eddy and many others to boot ! Sang Eon is very good of course but this sets a completely other tone to the theme. Very well done indeed !!

WOW! Excellent job with EVERYTHING!. Being a recent "attempter" of inks......what did you use inks on?

Hi Giovanni, Alexandros, Mitsutaka, Rob, Jim,
Thank you very much for the kind comments, my friends!
    Very much appreciated!
Jim: For the little metal parts, like the belts and buckels, the side of the helmet, I use it all the time on all metal parts of my figures and mix it with oilpaint for the belts to tone it done a little, and ad some highights on the corners.
    Cheers,
    Eddy

    Really good work:)

It' just damage that the sculptor put the first aid on the helmet.

In 1944, with M42 jump suit, it was in Normandie, and the airborne troops fixed the first aid, frequently on the legs .

They fixed the first aid on the helmet in september 1944,for Operation Market Garden,at this time, the airborne troops wore M43 jump suit.

I look at the painting on the face, and wonder why I can't achieve that, no matter how hard I try. For me, its the perfect finish. The transitions are so smooth, and the highlights just right without anything being overdone and garish. Its almost as if you used a tiny airbrush instead of a paintbrush, its that smooth. Sigh....
