"Uphill Stand" - SS trooper (very minor conversion

Here's another one I just finished. I converted Warriors' 1/35 Waffen SS machinegunner. The firing stance of the trooper - firing an MG42 from the hip - seemed unrealistic, so I swapped it for an MP-44. This involved hollowing out the left hand and resculpting its fingers. As for the right hand, I simply cut it off the MG42 with the pistol grip in hand and slapped a Tamiya MP-44 (w/o it's pistol grip) onto it. It was my first attempt at painting camo in a very long time.

All constructive criticism is always welcome ...

    Hey Pete,

This looks really nice. I like how you made the groundwork fit the figure. Nice job on the cameo.

Awesome work Petey! The leather looks real; how did you get the sheen? Didja use acrylics for the camo? Can't wait to see this at the Atlanta show my brother! ;)

    All the best

    Patrick
