    Just finished off this fantasy piece comprising the 54mm Nocturna Gatekeeper and a converted Andrea Dark Menhom. I scratchbuilt the base and used a PE gate that I found in my 1/35th WWII stash.
    A variety of mediums have been used to paint this, mostly Jo Sonja but Vallejo, Citadel and oils have also been used as well as paintbrushes and airbrush. I had a lot of fun doing this.

    Oh Ma gosh, and Whoa Nellie: I love this vignette. And your
    photographs are equally outstanding. But what really got my
    creative side "pumped" was the rendering of the column;
    the choice of colours, the subtle tonalities. Somehow, your approach
    to colour choices with that column specifically, IMHO, really ties
    the entire composition together. Plus, the vertical part of the
    base with Name plate under the flooring, really will make this
    little beauty attract a lot of attention. We all know — well, at least in my view
    — that on a contest category table, height does indeed attract attention.

    Congrats, from the Miami Jayhawk

    Excellent composition and staging. Not to mention the great painting and colours. This is very inspirational. Good luck at Euro.

    Beautifully painted. The gate is perhaps a little 'rococo' for the sword & sorcery genre but generally it's very dramatic. Wish I had half your talent.
