I decided to pull this from my stash to work on next.

I was lucky to snare this back in 2013 from a gentleman on EBay who was selling his collection of The Shadow memorabilia.

I originally painted it gray sometime ago as I didn’t have any proper primer.

I’m doing priming and putty work currently.

I’ve already lined up the paints and made some notes on how I’ll work in other colors to accentuate the black coat, hat and cape.

As I was doing some more priming and putty work I wasn’t sure about whether I needed to add in more putty where the arm meets the shoulder/body. Please see the pictures I’ve attached. Look forward to your feedback

I sanded the spots by the arm and body and put some primer on. I feel like I need to go back in and put some more putty? Look forward to your feedback

The shoulders look ok to me. It’s a natural seam on a coat. It looks like some spots on the arms,
particularly the upper left arm could use a touch more putty/sanding.

Worked on the face and flesh tones today. It’s a little rough, still working on it. Tried to do a darker tone on the left side of the face as the brim of the hat will have more shade on that side of the face.

I went back and redid the left side of the face. I wasn’t satisfied with the flesh tone. Got the eyes done

Hi All, I’m finally back and made some more progress on my model figure. It had taken me awhile to figure out how I can work on my hobby in a 1 bedroom apartment. I’m going to work on dry brushing the coat next. Need to get some pastels to try my hand at. I used a black leather paint on the gloves, not quite sure if I like it.

That looks to be coming along nicely Anne.
Black leather is usually some form of brown which has been stained. Consequently, you tend to get some of the original colour peeping through as general wear.
I've painted one or two black leather items over the years. You'll find my method described in #15 in the following post:-
    https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/punks-not-dead-altores-studio.379798/
    Hope that's of some use.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

    Hi Anne

Great to see you back posting , your getting there ....remember no matter how big our benches are ...we all end up working on a 6" area ! ( Have a look at Nigel's thread "Is this normal" .....)

    Sorted pics out on posts

    Looking forward to seeing more
