Combining my guilty pleasure of Harry Potter with my love of modelling I have started to make this piece. The dragon bust is one I bought at a show a couple of years back but I have widened his mouth for a more gaping look and used rose thorns for the teeth. Thin wire was used on the mouth and various layers of glue and laquer was dribbled onto the wire to form a slobbery spittle. I made a tongue out of milliput and painted this accordingly also adding laquer to that too.
Harry was made out of several pieces from my spares box including a plastic WW2 German motorcycle rider, a hornet head, and the cape was fashioned from milliput. The broomstick was handmade using milliput, wire and a cocktail stick. I added milliput hair to Harrys head and made some spectacles from very thin wire. The Harry figure is about 1/32 in scale.
Harrys right foot was drilled and a length of wire inserted leaving enough to fix into a drilled hole on the dragons tongue, giving the impression of flight.
It is still not yet finished as I have Harrys left hand to paint ( I made this from milliput sculpting it directly onto the broomstick) and details of the dragons skin to be touched up. The other side of the dragon has a sword in a scabbard which I will alter to look like the sword of Gryffindor (Harry Potter fans will know what I am talking about).
All in all an enjoyable piece to make and my first proper attempt at making my own figure from bits from the spares box.
I hope you like it and I welcome any comments.

Thanks guys. Nap-he is wearing glasses already, made out of very thin fuse wire which I wound around a thicker piece of wire to get the round shape. You can see them in one of the pics. I am worried about putting a more detailed picture of the face on as being a hornet head it doesnt look very much like Harry Potter and you will see all the flaws!
